Chocolate Date Snickers Delight (Print Version)

Plump dates stuffed with creamy peanut butter and crunchy nuts, enrobed in smooth dark chocolate for a sweet delight.

# What You'll Need:

→ Dates

01 - 12 large Medjool dates, pitted

→ Filling

02 - 6 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
03 - 3 tablespoons roasted unsalted peanuts, roughly chopped

→ Chocolate Coating

04 - 7 ounces dark chocolate (at least 60% cocoa), chopped
05 - 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother coating)

→ Topping

06 - Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling

# How To Make It:

01 - Slice each date lengthwise on one side and remove the pit if not already pitted. Gently open to create a pocket.
02 - Fill each date with about ½ tablespoon of creamy peanut butter. Sprinkle chopped peanuts into the peanut butter and gently press the date closed.
03 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
04 - Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil (if using) together in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.
05 - Dip each stuffed date into the melted chocolate using a fork to coat completely. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then place on the prepared baking sheet.
06 - Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the chocolate-coated dates while the chocolate is still wet, if desired.
07 - Refrigerate the dates for 10–15 minutes or until the chocolate has fully set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • They taste like a decadent treat but are actually made from whole ingredients you can pronounce.
  • No oven required, just a microwave and about twenty minutes of your time.
  • They satisfy that candy craving while giving you the natural sweetness and fiber from real dates.
02 -
  • Don't skip the parchment paper—melted chocolate sticks to everything, and this little step saves you from a cleanup nightmare.
  • If your chocolate gets too thick while you're working, microwave it for just ten seconds to loosen it up again without ruining the temper.
03 -
  • If you're dipping multiple batches and your chocolate starts to cool and thicken, a quick ten-second microwave burst brings it back to silky perfection.
  • Frozen for a few hours or overnight, these become more like fudgy truffles—a completely different and equally delicious experience.
